To taste all the delicious dishes Bangkok has to offer is one thing, but imagine being able to make the same dishes at home. Here you will get an insight into how locals pick their ingredients and bargain! Once all the goodies are in the bag you are now ready to get cooking. This class will be a full hands-on experience and you will even get to enjoy a surprise appetiser and dessert prepared by your host. Once the meal is ready you will get to enjoy a 3 course lunch; feel free to write the recipe down to share with your friends back at home. After a hearty meal you will make your way to your accommodation. Overnight in Bangkok.

Day 3: Bangkok to Ayutthaya Transfer
Today you will be picked-up in Bangkok for your overland transfer to the city of Ayutthaya, once known as Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, the ancient Thai Capital which was one of the wealthiest and important cities in the world during its golden years. Upon arrival, get checked-in to your accommodation and enjoy a free day to discover the ancient city of Ayutthaya or participate in optional activities on your own.
Ayutthaya is a city rich in history and cultural heritage boasting magnificent archaeological sites from its golden age in the 17th century in which the city was one of Southeast Asia’s most important centers for culture, commerce and trade. Take a day to awe at the buildings, architecture, markets and daily life in the heart of the city’s UNESCO city center and historical park. Don’t miss your chance to visit the three main palaces in the city center: the Grand Palace, the Front Palace (Chandrakasem) and the Rear Palace (Wang Lang), and the numerous palaces on the outskirts of town: Bang Pa-In and Nakhon Luang. Go back in time as you walk through the remains of foreign settlements which established themselves outside of the Ayutthaya city center centuries ago while trading with the city. See remnants of Japanese, Dutch and Portuguese trading settlements and the interesting Wat Phanan Choeng Thai-Chinese temple.
*Note: Most temples require a modest dress code, although often this will not be enforced. Some temples charge entrance fees, while others do not. Please always remember to dress respectfully and behave appropriately in these sacred places.
