Day 2: Cu Chi Tunnels Half Day Trip (B)
Get an early start around 7:45am and head to the historic Cu Chi tunnels (Ben Dinh), approximately 70kms away from central Ho Chi Minh City. The Cu Chi tunnels represent one of the most famous vestiges of the Vietnam War and one of the keys to Vietnam’s victory. This vast and amazing subterranean network consists of over 200kms of tunnels connected with one another in an intricate cobweb formation. With determination and endurance, the tunnels were dug with rudimentary tools and the openings were camouflaged so well that no enemy could find them. Crawl into these fascinating underground dwellings to get a feel of the stamina and grit it took to live in the tunnels, try the steamed tapioca root which was the main staple food in Cu Chi during the war, and more.
